Matt Street reported on another fundraising effort: a pumpkin carving contest in Ottawa that raised money for low-income Kenyan children to attend secondary school through the Canada Mathare Education Trust. Organizer Wayne Van Sickle explained how the prizes were few but the rewards were many for everyone involved.
