Our first interview was with May Chazan, a Carleton PhD student and researcher with the Health Economic and HIV/AIDS Research Division at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. May talked about her research on the international “Grandmothers’ movement” that links South African women who are acting as caregivers for their extended families with Canadians who want to help support them.
